Postponed – Webinar on UNDROP’s rights holders

RURAL STRUGGLES IN ACTION!

UNDROP’s rights holders fight for sustainable and just food systems!

Statement from Defending Peasants’ Rights Editorial board, May 6th, 2025

We are very sorry to have to inform you that our webinar “Rural struggles in action” was hacked and violently attacked today. To insure everyone safety we had to stop the webinar shortly after its beginning. Whoever was behind this attack clearly intended to silence us.
But, we are not giving up to those who have attacked us, our webinar will happen! We are currently working with the planed speakers to reschedule and will communicate very soon on its future date.
We thank all participants for their time and interest and apologize to all the participants for this terrible moment, we will significantly upgrade our security for next time.
Until then, Defending Peasants’ Rights is still here and the rural struggles are still in action.

On May 6, “Defending Peasants’ Rights” is organizing a webinar dedicated to UNDROP rights holders and their struggles for sustainable and just food systems!

Because the very existence of the Declaration is based on the need to recognize and include rural groups in all their diversity, we want to use this webinar to publicize and honor all those who work to feed people while preserving the land, the ocean and natural resources, and especially those who continue to do so in the face of a predatory agro-industrial system.

To understand UNDROP, take hold of it, use it and defend it, we need to know who it protects, both for the people concerned, who may not always recognize themselves in it, but also for the general public and professionals who sometimes fail to grasp the full scope of the Declaration.

Join us in getting to know the rural struggles in action!
